Early Career and AFC Ajax

Wout Weghorst began his professional career in 2012 with Emmen in the Netherlands. He joined FC Zwolle in 2014, where he made a name for himself as a prolific goalscorer. His performances earned him a move to German club VfL Wolfsburg in 2018. After a successful spell in Germany, Weghorst transferred to AFC Ajax in 2020.

Burnley F.C. and Burnley's Battle Against Relegation

In January 2022, Weghorst joined Premier League club Burnley F.C. on loan from AFC Ajax. Burnley was struggling against relegation at the time, and Weghorst's goalscoring prowess was seen as a potential lifeline. Netherlands National Team
