Arts Club Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award 2020

The Search is on for the UK's Most Promising Young Composers

Call for Entries Opens Today

The Arts Club, in association with Classic FM, today announced the opening of the call for entries for the 2020 Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award. The award is open to young composers aged 18-30 of any nationality who are resident in the UK. The winner will receive a £5,000 cash prize and a mentorship with Sir Karl Jenkins himself.

The Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award was established in 2016 to support and encourage emerging musical talent. Previous winners include Gavin Higgins, Freya Waley-Cohen, and Joseph Phibbs. The award is judged by a panel of leading composers and musicians, including Sir Karl Jenkins, Judith Weir, and Julian Anderson.
